Company Description: Portland, Maine based North Atlantic Capital (NAC) is a successful venture capital firm focused on investing in later stage technology-enabled business service and technology product companies. NAC manages over $200 million and is actively investing its fourth fund.
Position Description: The Associate will play a crucial role in executing our investment strategy by researching promising market segments and proactively calling leading private companies and entrepreneurs within those identified market segments. He or she will also participate in all phases of the investment process including: due diligence, meetings with management, focused company and industry research, financial modeling and writing up the investment recommendations.
Requirements: We are seeking Associate candidates with two or more years of prior experience, particularly in investment banking, management consulting, market research or strategic business development who will work with the firm for two to four years prior to returning to business school. We seek individuals who are mature self starters capable of working both independently and on small deal teams. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills, the ability to perform complex financial modeling, a prior track record of success both professionally and academically and be self-confident, as he or she will be interacting with senior executives on a daily basis.
