Administrative Director - Reed Hilderbrand, Watertown, MA

 
Company Description: Reed Hilderbrand is founded on the belief that the designed landscape is among the most potent and durable instruments of cultural expression.  Striving for clarity of purpose in all aspects of design, we collaborate with other artists and professionals to help institutions, public stewards, and individuals articulate ideas through landscape. 

Position Description: Reed Hilderbrand, a Watertown-based landscape architecture firm, is seeking a seasoned professional to handle comprehensive administrative responsibilities for its 26-person, nationally known design practice.  Projects include a broad range of civic and cultural institutions, development sites, parks, and private gardens. 

Key areas of responsibility will include:
Business Development (new client first contact and promotional materials; proposal and contract administration; media relations);

Practice Management (supervise administrative team of three; professional licensing and liability insurance; portfolio management and project documentation; backup and archiving)

Human Resources (employment policies and procedures; employee census; plan administrator for health and dental insurance, 401K, life and disability insurance)

Technology (manage all technology issues including configurations, hardware, software licensing; server management; protection of database and archives

Operations (oversees all functions, services, and budgeting for capital expenses, equipment, IT, maintenance, vendors, licenses, library)

Requirements: Candidates should have excellent deadline management skills with a keen eye toward details.  Strong interpersonal and written communication skills are essential.
