POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Deal Desk is a cross-functional team responsible for the approval
and structuring of all non-standard sales deals. It serves as the
final authority for all deal approvals when pricing drops below sales
management discounting thresholds. The Deal Desk also guides sales
managers on the proper structure of deals to ensure margin targets and
revenue recognition requirements are met.

As a Deal Desk Analyst, you will review and issue deal approvals for
international and U.S. sales deals. You will ensure margin targets
are protected by understanding Akamai COGS structure and collaborating
with Akamai network team. You must grasp Akamai revenue recognition
policy and guide Akamai Channel Managers on margin negotiations to
resellers. You will be responsible for producing monthly and
quarterly reports on sales trends and providing feedback to Product
Management on success of new product offerings.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics or related field
with 1+ years of similar experience
Must be an analytical and Strategic thinker, objective yet persuasive
Must possess strong verbal and written communications skills
Must be detail-oriented, with ability to manage multiple projects and deals
Must possess strong interpersonal skills
Must be able to work independently with flexibility to work in
fast-paced, "start-up" environment
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
