The primary responsibilities for the position include:

Investor relations
Liaise with Advent's broad limited partner base and general

Fundraising
Identify and contact potential new institutional investors;
cultivate relationships with these institutions over time, resulting
in their investment in the next fund.
Prior to launch of a new fund, assist in developing and
preparing all fundraising materials including the due diligence
binder, financial analysis, PPM, and investor presentations.
Co-ordinate investor visits to offices, produce presentation
material and manage follow-up.
Manage "book" of investor commitments.
Attend relevant industry conferences and networking events.

Market Research
Research and assist in developing a comprehensive market
map/report of investors.
Follow industry through publications, meetings and conferences;
provide bi-weekly written report to LP Services on important market /
industry news.
Competitive positioning analysis – research and maintain
database on competitors.

REQUIREMENTS:
At least 2 years of experience in a similar position or at leading
investment bank, financial consulting or investment firm (pre-MBA).
Direct Fund investing or Fund of Funds experience desirable.

Top undergraduate academic performance from leading university.
A self-starter, with an excellent work ethic and ability to
operate successfully in a relatively unstructured environment, as well
as the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Sound business judgment and exceptional written and verbal
communication skills are paramount.
Strong quantitative background and experience with financial
modeling required.
Detail-oriented but flexible to quick changes.
An effective time manager. Able to organize and manage
